An Itinerary That Bends
Plan activities by day and time, then drag them to another day when plans change.
Why I made this template
I planned my own solo trips with it this year, then made it work for groups, too.
This is the travel planner I’ve used this year to plan a couple of solo trips. It keeps everything I need in one place, so I spend less time planning and more time looking forward to going.
Traveling solo means making a lot of decisions on the fly, so I built it to keep the key details easy to find and the itinerary easy to change.
Since then, I’ve updated it to handle group trips as well. Add the people you’re traveling with, and the budget and expenses split between everyone automatically.
Take a look inside
Everything before you leave: flights, hotel options, each person’s budget, where the money is going, your activities and itinerary, cafes and restaurants, and a packing list.
All pages share the same databases. Add an expense, activity, or hotel once, and it shows up everywhere.
Lost in a sea of open tabs?
Let the Calm Compass point the way: flights, stays, plans, and spending, all on one steady page.

Is this template for you?
This is for you if…

- You want flight times, hotel dates, and confirmation numbers in one place.
- You like a plan, but want the freedom to change it once you arrive.
- You want to keep an eye on spending without building a spreadsheet.
- You’re traveling with friends and want to see who’s spent what.
This isn’t for you if…
- You want a booking tool that searches and buys flights or hotels for you.
- You need detailed corporate expense reports.
- You prefer planning on paper and don’t want anything digital.
- You’d rather not plan at all and figure it out as you go.
- You’re taking a quick weekend trip and only need a simple packing list.

FAQ
What is Notion?
Notion is a free app for notes, documents, and databases, all in one place. This template is built in Notion, so a free account is all you need to use it.
Do I need a paid Notion plan or Notion AI?
You can use one chart on Notion’s Free plan. To use more than one chart, you’ll need a Notion Plus plan or higher. The Notion AI prompts on the setup pages are optional.
Does it work for group trips?
Yes. Add everyone to the People table and tag each expense with who it covers. The template splits the budget and tracks how much each person has spent.
Do I have to enter my trip details on every page?
No. All the pages pull from the same databases, so you enter something once and it appears on every page that shows it. An expense you log in the Trip Manager, for example, also updates the budget on the Pre‑Trip Planner.
Can I use a currency other than US dollars?
Yes. The Basics page includes a short how-to for changing the currency on any money column.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, you can access the template on your phone through the Notion app. Because of how the template is designed, we recommend using a desktop or a horizontal screen for the best experience.
How will I receive the template?
Once you complete your purchase, you’ll be taken to a page where you can duplicate the template into your own Notion workspace.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. You have 14 days to decide whether the template is right for you. If you request a refund, the template is removed from your workspace.
How can I contact you if I have questions?
Use the feedback form linked inside the template.
